SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of ceramic tiles, ceramic tiles, obtained on the basis of stone-like clay raw materials - argillite-like clays, argillites and clay shales. The ceramic mass, including argillite and water, additionally contains clay shale of a fraction of 0.1-1.5 mm in the following ratio of components, wt.%: argillite, crushed to a grain size of less than 1.0 mm (with a content of 80-85% of the fraction 0-0.5 mm) 35.0-45.0, clay shale fraction 0.1-1.5 mm 38.0-51.0, water 14.0-17.0.

EFFECT: reducing water absorption and increasing the strength of ceramic products. Increased strength makes it possible to produce tiles and tiles of small thickness.
