SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the creation of a nasal prophylactic agent (composition). The proposed nasal composition for the prevention of diseases of the upper respiratory tract and moisturizing the nasal mucosa includes zinc salt of hyaluronic acid, pharmaceutically acceptable 1,2-propanediol and 1,2-pentanediol, water in the following ratio of components, parts by weight: 0.1–0.6 of zinc salt of hyaluronic acid; 2–3 of 1,2-propanediol and 1,2-pentanediol; up to 100 of water. This composition is characterized by high bioadhesiveness (mucoadhesiveness), as a result of which this agent is able to linger on the surface of the nasal mucosa for a long time and provide a prolonged protective effect. Besides, the composition has the property of maintaining the moisture of the nasal mucosa for a long time, resisting the penetration of dust, pollen, and various microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi) into the respiratory system, protecting the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, significantly improving the condition of the nasal cavity (nasopharynx) and promoting the restoration of mucous membranes, thereby maintaining the health of the subject.
