FIELD: antenna technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to vibrator antennas with a controlled radiation pattern in a wide frequency range and a variable effective scattering surface (ESS). In the proposed method of constructing a switched dipole antenna, in contrast to the prototype, conductive elements (CE) of linear polarization are placed at specified angles, ensuring the formation of the required periodic structure of CE of linear polarization and the possibility of switching CE with different polarization, electronic switches are installed at points connecting the transmission line to a switched vibrator antenna, in the scattering surface mode, using electronic switches, the transmission line is disconnected from the linear polarization CE, and the linear polarization CE is switched taking into account the maximum dissipation of the energy of the incident electromagnetic wave into free space.
EFFECT: provision, in scattering surface mode, of a reduction in the effective scattering surface of a switched dipole antenna and weakening its influence on the operation of other radio systems
