FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry. A method for determining the granulometric composition of the collapse of a rock mass is proposed, which consists in the following: by means of a stereoscopic camera, a stereo image of the collapse of a rock mass is obtained; based on the obtained stereo image of the collapse of a rock mass, by constructing an approximation of the slope relief to the entire surface of the collapse in the image, a volumetric relief of the surface of the collapse of a rock mass is constructed, which is a set of ranges from the matrix of a stereoscopic camera up to the selected sections of the rock mass collapse surface and their corresponding row and column numbers in the image matrix, while for the construction of a volumetric relief of the surface of the collapse of the rock mass: determine the magnitude of the pixel separation of a pair of stereo images for the selected sections of the collapse of the rock mass; determine the distance from the matrix of the stereoscopic camera to the surface of each selected section of the collapse of the rock mass based on the magnitude of the pixel separation of a pair of stereo images, the angular size of the pixel of the matrix and the magnitude of the stereo base of the camera; based on the constructed volumetric relief of the surface, determine the size and number of pieces of the collapse of the rock mass with using a neural network; determine the granulometric the composition of the collapse of the rock mass based on the size of the pieces of the collapse of the rock mass and their number.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the accuracy of determining the size and number of pieces of rock mass by the computing unit of an electronic device.
