FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system for blind embossing of a heat-generating element of an elongated smoking product and a corresponding method. The system for blind embossing of the heat-generating element of the elongated smoking product contains an issue mechanism made with the possibility of sequential issue of the longitudinally passing heat-generating element along a direction of processing, wherein the heat-generating element has an outer surface and defines a longitudinal axis. The system additionally contains a blind embossing mechanism containing the first matrix and the opposite second matrix, each of which forms a longitudinally passing channel. Each channel of opposite first and second matrices contains spaced protrusions, and it is made with the possibility of reception between them of the longitudinally passing heat-generating element from the issue mechanism. Protrusions in channels are made so that to pass unparallel to channels and interact together with the heat-generating element for blind embossing of its outer surface. In addition, a corresponding method is proposed.

EFFECT: inventions are aimed at provision for a smoking product of direct burning, easy ignition, and sustainable combustion, when used by a smoker.
