SUBSTANCE: equipment for thinning when caring for forests. A machine for carrying out thinning of forests contains a platform, a cutting mechanism, and a pulling mechanism. In the device, a rectangular plate is mounted on the forks of a hydraulic lift with a rotary support device installed on it, on the inner ring of which there is a platform in the form of a circle, with a hydraulic motor installed on the edge, connected to the outer fixed ring by means of a gear transmission, and on top of the platform, a cargo column is mounted in its middle, inside which the free ends of the pantograph are located. Moreover, one of them is in the form of a hinged support, and the second is in the form of a slider connected to a hydraulic cylinder. In this case, the second free ends of the pantograph are mounted on a vertical platform, one in the form of a hinge, and the other in the form of a slider. On the opposite side of the vertical platform, a harvester head is installed on a rotating device. In this case, the forks installed in the lift guides have the ability to change their position in the vertical plane.

EFFECT: process capabilities of the work performed related to the primary processing of timber in thinning areas are expanding, and it is possible to move the machine along a row of artificially planted trees on plantations without the need to turn it around on the row-spacing strip.
