SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal or plastic caps adapted to be screwed on or otherwise placed on and secured to the neck of glasses, bottles, vials or any other glass, metal or plastic containers that are intended to contain the above products under sealed conditions, possibly after pasteurization and/or sterilization. The cap for closing the containers contains a seal made of a sealing material that does not contain PVC, and where the sealing material contains at least one polyurethane thermoplastic elastomer.
EFFECT: providing a closing cap (or film cap) for containers, which is equipped with a seal that will not have the disadvantages associated with the presence of PVC.
