SUBSTANCE: seal for a container lid is proposed that contains a polymer compound that contains a styrene block copolymer (TPS), at least two different propylene copolymers ((co-)PP) or at least one (co-)PP with a Shore A hardness more than 80, enthalpy of crystallization not more than 30 J/g and melting point of at least 155°C, while the polymer compound has a Shore A hardness of 30 to 85 at 70°C and melt flow index at 5 kg load at 190°C less than 20 g/10 min, and contains no more than 10 wt.% lubricants at 20°C; and a container lid comprising a container lid seal according to the invention.

EFFECT: production of a seal for a container lid that does not contain PVC and has a Shore A hardness of 30 to 85 at 70°C and MFI less than 20 g/10 min.
