FIELD: railway; training equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of training locomotive crews and can be used in simulators for training drivers of shunting diesel locomotives. A multifunctional simulator for a shunting diesel locomotive driver contains an instructor's workstation module, a modeling unit with modules for models of traction, brakes, track devices, visualization of track conditions, imitation of sound signals, a cabin layout in which the driver's main workstation module with controls - a control panel - is located, as well as display elements, radio communication simulation elements. The mentioned modules are interconnected via a network. The simulator is also equipped with a module for an additional driver's workplace, which is located in the cabin layout on the opposite side to the module of the main driver's workplace and is connected to the mentioned network. The visualization module of the modeling block is made with the ability to switch the observation point depending on the traffic control from the modules of the main or additional driver’s workstations.
EFFECT: increased level of training of diesel locomotive drivers.
