FIELD: destructive testing of rocks.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a test installation for checking fracture characteristics and a method for this check. The test installation contains a support and two crushing rolls, configured to rotate in opposite directions, supported by the support, as well as a drive device that provides rotational movement of the crushing rolls. The crushing rollers face each other and define an inlet gap between them for the rock particles, the rollers being designed to crush the rock particles into smaller daughter particles. The testing installation also contains a force measuring device configured to determine the compressive strength of rock particles. The force measuring device is connected to a processor included in the test setup. The processor is configured to calculate the fracture force applied to each rock particle over time. The testing installation further contains an energy measuring device for obtaining information related to the energy applied to each rock particle, said device being coupled to said processor also configured to calculate the energy applied to each rock particle.
EFFECT: testing installation provides accurate characteristic destructive testing of rocks.
