FIELD: windmill.

SUBSTANCE: windmill is designed to convert wind energy into mechanical rotational energy to drive electric generators, mills, water pumps and other devices. In the device , the rear wide part of each sail is tensioned directly or by means of ropes between the top and bottom of two adjacent large brackets; the canvas of each sail is bent in an arc by guy lines, some ends of which are attached to the stiffening ribs of the sail, the other to the top of a large bracket, which is previous in the direction of rotation of the rotor to the first two large brackets, between which the rear wide part of the sail is stretched. The device is equipped with a mechanism for forced folding and unfolding of sails using a system of rollers, cables and an electric winch.

EFFECT: when the electric winch is turned on, the cables can move in both directions, while the sails are folded or unfolded.
