FIELD: membrane pumps.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to a membrane pump and a homogenizing device containing a plurality of membrane pumps. The pump (1) contains a membrane (2) separating the side for the fluid product (P1) from the hydraulic side for the fluid (P2), a piston (3) configured to act on the medium (P2), valve means (4) configured with the possibility of establishing selective fluid communication between the hydraulic side and the reservoir (10) containing the medium (P2). The means (4) comprise a first valve device configured, in the operating state of the pump (1), to release a medium (P2) having a pressure above a first predetermined threshold value from the hydraulic side towards the reservoir (10) and to draw the medium (P2) from reservoir (10) to the hydraulic side in response to a pressure drop in the hydraulic side below a second predetermined threshold value, a second valve device configured, in at least one non-operating state of the pump (1), to release a medium (P2) having a pressure higher than the third preset threshold, from the hydraulic side towards the reservoir (10).
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at maintaining the integrity of the membrane during cleaning or maintenance operations.
