FIELD: pumps.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a two-membrane pump for use in an apparatus for homogenising a fluid product and to a method for determining leaks in said pump. The method includes stages of determining the physical value representing the property of the fluid medium contained inside the membranes (6, 16) and establishing whether the determined physical value is associated with the first condition characterising the mixing of the working fluid medium with said fluid product, or whether said value is associated with the second condition characterising the mixing of the working fluid medium with a hydraulic fluid medium, or whether said value is associated with the third condition characterising the mixing of the working fluid medium with the fluid product and with a hydraulic fluid.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at providing the possibility of detecting faults in membranes, accurately determining the location thereof without the need for disassembling the pump.
