FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: subject of the invention is a composition in powder form containing the following polysaccharides: alginic acid or sodium alginate, pectin, chitosan, where the polysaccharide content is at least 20 wt.% relative to the total weight of the powder. A method of producing the said powder by a spraying process and its use in the treatment of skin wounds and in the field of food preservation are further subjects of the invention.
EFFECT: besides, additional subjects of the invention are a composition in the form of a solution or liquid suspension, which represents the starting material for obtaining the specified powder, and a method of obtaining the specified liquid composition.
