SUBSTANCE: device for installation on a hospital bed or medical functional bed equipped with a mattress, or for installation on a hospital bed or medical functional bed equipped with a mattress, having two rotary shafts located on opposite longitudinal sides of the bed and adjustable in height relative to the mattress, and a sheet with two opposite ends, which between both shafts in the lowered position is generally parallel to the flat upper side of the mattress, in the raised position sags and is raised from the mattress together with the patient lying on this sheet, and can be driven between the shafts to transfer the patient. In this case, one end of the sheet is wound on a feed roll, and the size of the sheet between its both ends corresponds to multiple widths of the mattress, and by unwinding the sheet from the feed roll, many sheet changes are possible, by which each time the contaminated section of the sheet at the upper side of the mattress is replaced by an adjacent clean section. The group of inventions is also related to a hospital bed or medical functional bed equipped with the above-mentioned device, as well as to a method for changing a sheet.

EFFECT: basis of the present invention is to improve the device, hospital bed or medical functional bed with such a device and the method of the kind indicated above in order to obtain additional benefits that can contribute to wider distribution in the field of care.
