FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to portable diagnostic tools for cash cassettes, for example, recycling cassettes Nautilus Hyosung MX8600/8600S. The specified technical result is achieved by implementing a method for diagnosing cash cassettes, performed by at least one computing device, containing the stages of: receiving a command to carry out diagnostics of the cash cassette; generate a signal to the electric motor of the bill clamping board (carriage) to move said carriage to the upper position, and when the carriage moves to the upper position, its body presses on the platform for placing bills in the cassette, which moves and blocks the beam of light emitted by the optical position sensor of the stacking platform bills in a cassette; a change in the state of the position sensor of the platform for placing bills in the cassette is recorded; polling at least one additional optical sensor installed in the cash cassette to determine its condition; comparing state data of at least one optical sensor with a reference state specified for said sensor; determine the correct operation of the optical sensors based on the comparison results obtained at the previous stage.
EFFECT: creation of a portable device with expanded functionality for diagnosing a cash cassette.
