FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: presented technical solution relates to portable means of diagnosing cash cassettes, for example, recycling cassettes Nautilus Hyosung MX8600/8600S. Said technical result is achieved by implementing a method for diagnosing cash cassettes, performed by at least one computing device, comprising steps of: receiving a command to diagnose the cash cassette; generating a signal to the electric motor of the banknote pressing board (carriage) to move the said carriage to the upper position, wherein when moving the carriage to the upper position, its body presses the platform for placing banknotes in the cassette, which is displaced and overlaps the light beam emitted by the optical sensor of the position of the platform for placing banknotes in the cassette; detecting change in the state of the position sensor of the platform for placing banknotes in the cassette; polling at least one additional optical sensor installed in the cash cassette to determine its condition; comparing data on state of at least one optical sensor with reference state specified for said sensor; correctness of operation of optical sensors is determined based on comparison results obtained at the previous stage.
EFFECT: creation of a portable device having extended functional capabilities for diagnostics of a cash cassette.
