FIELD space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to clean near-Earth space from space debris objects. To dispose of space debris by the aerodynamic action of the Earth's atmosphere, self-ionizing artificial plasma formations are used. They are created using an artificial plasma generator launched from a spacecraft. Easily ionisable alkaline and alkaline earth substances, dust-like radionuclides, spontaneously emitting fluxes of neutrons and gamma rays, radiation-stable natural uranium-238, which transforms under the influence of neutrons into spontaneously fissile plutonium-239, as well as substances containing hydrogen, are introduced into the composition of the artificial plasma formation. enhancing the reaction of converting uranium-238 into plutonium-239.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of space debris disposal is achieved using self-ionizing artificial plasma formations.
