FIELD: medicine; oncology.

SUBSTANCE: method of forecasting tumour susceptibility to radiation therapy for rectal cancer patients is based on histological examination of biopsy material taken from tumour after 4th radiation therapy session performed by extended fraction method. Presence of III-IV degree pathomorphosis allows forecasting high susceptibility of tumour to radiation, I-II degree of pathomorphosis indicates low susceptibility.

EFFECT: possible forecast of tumour susceptibility to radiation therapy for rectal cancer patients at early stages.
