FIELD: metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates namely to a lubricant for metal forming, including fatty acids, wherein stearic acid, castor oil and fish oil are used as fatty acids, additionally the lubricant contains sodium hydroxide and water in the following ratio of components, wt.%: stearic acid: 5-15%; fish oil: 20-35%; castor oil: 20-35%; water: 20-40%; sodium hydroxide at a concentration of 250 g/litre: 2-6%.
EFFECT: ensuring the penetrating ability of the lubricant to eliminate defects from contact with the tool, as well as to meet the requirements for surface roughness Ra of no more than 0.6 microns.
