FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method to ensure the preservation of fruits and vegetables, which involves loading them into containers and treating them with ozone. As a container, a packaging sleeve made of polyethylene with a density of at least 80 microns is used, into which fruits and vegetables are placed at 70-80% of the volume of the sleeve. First, one end of the packaging sleeve is sealed, and the other end of the sleeve is connected to an installation containing an ozone generator, a storage chamber, a pump and measuring devices, as well as a sealing apparatus, which first pumps out the available air, then pumps in an ozone-air mixture with an ozone concentration of 50-55 mg/m3 to a pressure of 105-110 kPa. The ozone-air environment is updated at a frequency of once every 2-4 weeks.
EFFECT: ensuring the preservation of fruits and vegetables.
