SUBSTANCE: shut-off valve (10) for a container for liquids, in particular for connection to an outlet fitting or outlet of a container for transporting and storing liquids, comprising a valve body (11) in which a valve body (17) is rotatably mounted with a shaft (16) valve for opening and closing the flow area of the outlet pipe (19), while the connecting end (22) of the valve shaft (16) is located in the outlet pipe (19) of the valve body (11) for connection with the valve body (17), and the drive end (20) is removed from the valve body (11) through the housing dome (21) formed on the valve body (11). For axial fastening of the valve shaft (16) in the valve body (11), between the body dome (21) and the valve shaft section (23) located in the body dome (21), a positive engagement is formed. To form engagement with positive closure, an engaging device (24) with a radial protrusion (26) of the dome is provided, which is located in the passage hole (25) of the dome (21) of the housing, intended for entering the section (23) of the valve shaft, and which forms an axial locking device with a radial protrusion (27) of the valve shaft located on the shaft section (23).
