FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the treatment of vertical-horizontal strabismus. At the first stage, the conjunctival cavity is opened. Tenon's membrane is isolated, lifted and retracted upward. The inferior oblique muscle is isolated and 3–5 units of Botox or 12–20 units of Dysport are injected using an insulin syringe to a depth of 1.0–2.0 mm. Interrupted sutures are placed on the conjunctiva. At the second stage, access to the internal rectus muscle is formed. A muscle hook is inserted into the formed access and placed under the muscle. The muscle is fixed on a hook. The conjunctiva and Tenon's membrane are elevated above the muscle. Then, with an insulin syringe through the muscle bursa, with a cut directed towards the plane of the internal rectus muscle, into its middle third, 3–5 units of Botox or 12–20 units of Dysport are injected. The surgical incision is sutured.
EFFECT: invention improves the effectiveness of surgical treatment due to the immediate elimination or clinically significant reduction in the magnitude of horizontal and vertical deviation, V-syndrome.
