FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: method is intended to reduce or alleviate thrombocytopenia. A method for reducing thrombocytopenia includes administering plinabulin or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt to a subject in need thereof. This thrombocytopenia is caused by the administration of gemcitabine or a chemotherapeutic composition containing gemcitabine. Gemcitabine is administered 1 hour before plinabulin, with plinabulin administered as a single dose of 7.5 mg/kg or 10 ml/kg via intraperitoneal injection.
EFFECT: increasing the effectiveness of the treatment of thrombocytopenia.
