FIELD: transport vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: vehicle contains a first and a second part, wherein the first part contains a first road wheel rotating about a first axis of rotation, and the second part contains a second road wheel rotating about a second axis of rotation. Both wheels have the same diameter. The first bearing for the rotary support of the first road wheel and the second bearing for the rotary support of the second wheel are connected to each other by means of a hinge mechanism so as to change the orientations of the first and second axes of rotation relative to each other. The vehicle is smoothly transferred by means of a hinge mechanism from a first configuration with the first and second axis of rotation inclined relative to each other into a second configuration with the first and second axis of rotation parallel to each other. In the second configuration, the distance from the first contact surface of the first running wheel to the second contact surface of the second wheel is less than one tenth of the diameter of the running wheel.
EFFECT: air resistance during movement is reduced, compactness and dynamic characteristics are increased.
