FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: production of sintered carbide plates used for the manufacture of cutting tools. The components of the charge are subjected to wet grinding in water, alcohol or a mixture thereof in two stages to obtain pulp. At the first stage, WC is ground with the addition of a grain growth inhibitor at a ratio of the volume of grinding bodies to the volume of pulp in the range of 1.2-3.0. At the second stage, grinding is carried out with the addition of Co at a pulp density of 3600-3800 kg/m3 and a ratio of the weight of the grinding bodies to the weight of the pulp of 2.5-6.3. The resulting pulp is mixed with a pressing agent in a container at a ratio of the surface area of the pulp in contact with the surface of the container to the area of the free surface of the pulp in contact with air in the range of 2.5-5.7 to obtain a dispersed mixture with a grain size of 0.8-2 µm. The dispersed mixture is spray dried to form granules, then pressed to form plates and sintered.
EFFECT: improves the strength properties and durability of carbide plates.
