FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: design of testing equipment, in particular stands for testing bearing units of rail vehicles. To test the bearings of axle box units of wheel pairs without dismantling the axle box units, supports are made in pairs on the stand foundation with the possibility of simultaneous installation of wheel pairs on them by means of axle box units with the bearings being tested, and the supports of one of the pairs are made stationary, and the supports of the other pair are movable. To transmit rotation to the axle of the wheel pair, supported by the axle box units on fixed supports, a detachable pulley is installed in the middle of the axis of the specified wheel pair for drive by an electric motor. To transmit rotation to the axle of the wheelset, supported by the axle box on movable supports, rods with springs are provided, designed to be installed on the axle box units of the wheelsets and tighten the axles of the wheelsets until the wheels of the wheelsets come into contact with the rollers mounted on the ends of the auxiliary axle supported on additional movable supports installed on the stand foundation between the movable and fixed supports made in pairs. The movable supports and additional movable supports are made with the ability to move each of them along their own guides made on the stand foundation.
