SUBSTANCE: pneumatic tire (1) includes a longitudinal main groove (20) extending in a circumferential direction of the tire, a tread portion (30) formed by the longitudinal main grooves (20), and a slot (4) located on the tread portion (30). The slot (4) has a zigzag shape with an amplitude in the direction of the width of the slot (4), extending in the longitudinal direction of the slot (4). The amplitude amount changes according to the position in the depth direction of the slot (4). The depth (Dp) of the maximum amplitude portion (45) from the open portion (41) of the slot (4) in the depth direction of the slot (4) is 30% or more of the maximum depth (Ds) of the slot (4). The maximum amplitude section (45) is the section where the amplitude value is maximum.
EFFECT: preventing deterioration in performance characteristics when driving on ice and snow as the tread section wears out.
