SUBSTANCE: used for subjective assessment of the degree of human hearing loss. The audiometer contains a periodic function address sensor 2, a periodic function calculation unit 10, a first switch 11, a first multiplier 7, a first adder 8, a phase calculation unit 13, an amplitude calculation unit 14, a second multiplier 17, a digital-to-analog converter 18, a low-pass filter 19, controlled attenuator 22 and switch 27, as well as a pseudo-random sequence length sensor 3 and a pseudo-random sequence generation unit 6, a signal duration code sensor 1 and a divider with a variable division coefficient 9, a frequency range code sensor 4, an initial frequency code sensor 5, an amplitude modulation address sensor functions 15 and a block for calculating the amplitude-modulating function 16, a block for storing reference intensity values 21, a second adder 25, an intensity code sensor 28, a test ear code sensor 26, a clock pulse generator 12, a phase calculation block 13. In order to limit the maximum values of the output signal intensities, a series-connected storage unit for maximum intensity values 20, a comparison circuit 24, and a second switch 23 are introduced.

EFFECT: limitation of the maximum values of output signal intensities is achieved.
