FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: used to obtain an output signal frequency varying according to an arbitrary law, including pseudo-random, with the simultaneous imposition of arbitrary amplitude modulation, for measuring the Doppler frequency in radar and sonar, adaptive broadband communication systems, for generating test, masking and speech signals in audiometers. The variable frequency digital synthesizer additionally contains a series-connected pulse duration code sensor 17, a pulse duration counter 13 and an output signal control unit 14, the output of which is connected to the control input of the phase calculation unit 12, and the clock input of the pulse duration counter 13 is connected to the output of the clock pulse generator 16.
EFFECT: formation of a pulse output signal.
