FIELD: betatrones.
SUBSTANCE: accelerator equipment used in the development of betatrons with an extracted electron beam. The device consists of a central and sector winding. The sector winding provides an asymmetrical displacement of electrons from the equilibrium orbit, flying into the edge magnetic field at a given azimuth in a given direction. The central winding provides an increase in the central magnetic flux. Changing the radius of the equilibrium orbit by increasing the central magnetic flux shifts the radius of the liberation orbit into a stronger magnetic field, which reduces the radius of the curvilinear trajectory of the extracted electron beam. Thus, it is possible to reversibly correct the axis of the extracted electron beam. The axis of the extracted electron beam is adjusted by aligning the delay between the current pulses of the sector and central windings.
EFFECT: quick adjustment of the axis of the electron beam extracted from the accelerating chamber of the betatron, keeping the spatial position of the beam axis unchanged when the energy of the accelerated electrons changes.
