SUBSTANCE: video decoding method is proposed for reconstructing a current block encoded using intra-prediction, which includes decoding from a bit stream direction information indicating the direction of differential encoding applied to a residual block of the current block, generating a residual block from the residual signals by reconstructing and using information about residual signals from the bitstream and using direction information, inversely quantizing the modified residual block, generating a prediction block for the current block by intra-prediction, and restoring the current block by adding the prediction block and the inversely quantized residual block.
