FIELD: video encoding and decoding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video encoding and decoding using a differential encoding technique performed in a conversion skip mode. Disclosed is a video decoding method for reconstructing a current block encoded using intra-prediction, which includes decoding from the bitstream direction information indicating the direction of differential coding applied to the residual block of the current block, generating a residual block from the residual signals by restoring and using the residual signal information from the bit stream and using the direction information, inverse quantisation of the modified residual block, generation of a prediction block for the current block by means of intra-prediction and reconstruction of the current block by adding a prediction block and inversely quantised residual block.
EFFECT: high efficiency of encoding and decoding video.
