SUBSTANCE: video decoding method is proposed for reconstructing a current block encoded using intra-prediction, which includes decoding from a bit stream direction information indicating the direction of differential encoding applied to a residual block of the current block, generating a residual block from the residual signals by reconstructing and using information about residual signals from the bit stream and using direction information, inverse quantization of the modified residual block, generating a prediction block for the current block by intra-predicting the current block using previously reconstructed pixels around the current block according to the intra-prediction mode, and reconstructing the current block by adding a prediction block and an inversely quantized residual block.

EFFECT: increasing the coding efficiency.
