FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing ceramic crucibles used for melting and casting chemically active metal alloys in the refractory industry. For preparation of moulding mass, refractory ceramic powder selected from group α - Al2O3, Y2O3, ZrO2, MgO or combinations thereof, is mixed with an organoelementoxanalumoxane binder in an amount of 4-6 wt.% in the form of a 20-30% solution of an organoelementoxanalumoxane oligomer in alcohol and stirred until homogeneous at room temperature. A crucible is formed from the resulting mass by pressing, followed by hardening and firing. Curing of the crucible is carried out at room temperature with exposure for 3.0-5.0 hours, after which the crucible is placed in an oven and baked at a temperature of 1500-1700°C with holding at the maximum temperature for at least 1 hour.
EFFECT: improved fire resistance and heat resistance of the crucible, as well as a more dense structure.
