FIELD: medicine; plastic surgery.
SUBSTANCE: incision is made in the mental area, namely in the mental fold, with open access to the medial part of the platysma. Next, a pocket is formed by separating the soft tissues from the periosteum according to the preoperative markings, with the bottom of the pocket being the periosteum of the mental protuberance of the lower jaw. Then a Bichat fat autograft is installed into the formed pocket, which is first taken and modeled in shape and volume, depending on the required increase in the mental area, then layer-by-layer suturing of the wound is performed.
EFFECT: method allows to achieve harmonious proportions of the cervical-chin area.
