SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for surgical treatment of rib fractures using thoracoscopy. The essence of the method is using trocars for video assistance, manipulations for the reposition of adjacent areas of the injured rib that are stable relative to the spine and sternum and its stabilization while applying pericosteal sutures to the areas of the injured rib that are stable relative to the fracture zone based on transversely oriented to their longitudinal axis, enveloping loops, ligatures which are located on the side of the pleural cavity and extrapleurally under the skin for inserting suture material and tying ligatures. When repositioning adjacent areas of an injured rib, 8-shaped pericosteal sutures are formed by crossing the ligatures with a wrapping loop from the side of the pleural cavity in the fracture zone. Then, when stabilizing the injured rib, 8-shaped pericosteal sutures are placed on both sides of the fracture zone, forming loops of coverage in the areas of the injured rib, as well as on the uninjured ribs located above and below these areas, with the intersection of the ligatures with a loop of coverage in the interribs. When forming 8-shaped pericosteal sutures, a Bercy needle and PDS-1 suture thread are used.

EFFECT: method ensures a reduction in trauma and pain due to the peculiarities of the seams.
