FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to thoracic surgery and traumatology, methods of submersible extrafocal extra-focal fixation, and can be used in treating multiple double fractures of ribs and sternum with disturbed frame function of chest. Method includes installation of fastening elements. Fasteners are made in the form of x-shaped fastening plate, at the ends of which there are fastening parts in the form of strips in the plane of the plate and strips located below the plane of the plate at a distance commensurate with the thickness of the broken rib. Fasteners are installed in intercostal space. On fixed sections of adjacent broken ribs, across line of ribs, retreating from fracture 2–3 cm. Fastening plate is fixed on the rib with two fastening cortical screws or lavsan thread. Then x-shaped fastening plates are fastened in pairs with an intercostal flat plate, having previously passed it through a subcutaneous tunnel. X-shaped fastening plate is fixed to the cartilaginous part of the rib with a lavsan tape or the bone part of the rib - with cortical screws. Device for chest fixation with multiple floating fractures of ribs includes a set consisting of intercostal flat plates with holes attached to fasteners, which are made in the form of x-shaped fastening plates, at the ends of which there are fastening parts in the form of strips in the plane of the plate and strips located below the plane of the plate at a distance commensurate with the thickness of the broken rib. Device is equipped with at least one intercostal flat plate with holes, fastened by detachable connection, at least, with two fastening X-shaped fastening plates. Additional plane is made on the side of the x-shaped fastening plate.
EFFECT: invention provides chest stabilization, elimination of flotation in case of chest injury, reduction of traumatism during installation of the device for their fixation, increase of comfort for the patient in the postoperative period due to the peculiarities of installation of fastening fixing elements.
