FIELD: medicine; obstetrics; gynecology; ultrasound diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: convex sensor is installed for transabdominal research with a frequency of 3–7 MHz using transverse ultrasonic waves above the pubis in the projection of the area of interest in the sagittal plane. For a qualitative assessment of elasticity, areas of different elasticity are mapped in different colors. To quantify elasticity, the area of the scar on the uterus is visualized without magnification, and the study begins from the internal pharynx. In the area of the uterine scar, 4 study zones with a diameter of 3 mm are installed, in each zone a control measurement is performed for 24 seconds and quantitative indicators of stiffness are obtained. For a control assessment of the intact myometrium, the same measurements are made above the internal pharynx.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to assess the elasticity of the uterine scar after a cesarean section using shear wave elastography.
