FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology and is intended for evaluation of functional state of lower segment of uterus (LSU) in pregnant women after cesarean section. By means of ultrasonic examination in third trimester of pregnancy thickness of myometrium in middle part of LSU, index of resistance in distal part of LSU, index of resistance in medial part of LSU, index of resistance in proximal part of LSU are determined, prognostic index P is calculated by formula, and if P≤8.20, functional state of LSU is evaluated as favourable for natural delivery, if P>8.20 - as uinfavourable.
EFFECT: method allows to increase accuracy of evaluation of LSU functional state in pregnant women after cesarean section.
