SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to ultrasound diagnostics, and can be used for differential diagnosis of uterine septum and arcuate uterus in women of childbearing age. For this purpose, an ultrasound examination including a 2D scan of the uterus and a 3D reconstruction of the uterus in the MPR mode is conducted. Additionally, compression sonoelastography of the uterus is performed, determining the value of the deformation coefficient as the ratio of intact myometrium in the area of the right/left tubal angle of the uterus to the area of maximum impression of the uterine cavity, the midsection of myometrium. If the value of the deformation coefficient in the area of the right tubal angle is 1.11±0.07, and in the area of the left tubal angle is 1.0±0.05, an arcuate uterus is diagnosed. If the value of the deformation coefficient in the area of the right tubal angle is 5.54±0.57, and in the area of the left tubal angle is 5.94±0.34, a uterine septum is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method ensures the accuracy of differential diagnosis of uterine septum and arcuate uterus, including the possibility of using said method for screening.
