FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: main shaft assembly of the electric machine contains a main shaft, a bearing, an outer bearing cover, an end cover, an inner bearing cover, an eccentricity checking device including two proximity sensors located perpendicular to each other, a processor, a display device and a warning device. The bearing is mounted between the outer and inner bearing caps on the main shaft. The main shaft is equipped with a central hole in which proximity sensors are installed. The processor is electrically connected to the display and warning devices, and through a shielded cable to the proximity sensors. To check the eccentricity of the inner bearing cap, the distance from the inner wall of the inner bearing cap to the shaft is measured using each proximity sensor, the measured distances are compared with the reference clearance value to obtain the deviation values, and the maximum deviation value, the minimum deviation value, and the deviation angle are calculated.
EFFECT: ensuring the eccentricity check of the bearing cap of an electric machine with an external rotor.
