SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a new method of producing (5 S )-4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-isoxazol-3-yl]-2-methyl-benzoic acid, which can preferably be used in the synthesis of (5S)-4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-isoxazol-3-yl]-N-[2-oxo-2-(2,2,2-trifluoroethylamino)ethyl]-2-methyl-benzamide. A method has been proposed for the preparation of (5S )-4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-isoxazol-3-yl]-2-methyl-benzoic acid by reaction of (RS) 4-[ 5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-isoxazol-3-yl)]-2-methyl-benzoic acid with 1-phenyl-1-propanamine in a molar ratio of 1:0.4 to 1:5 in one organic solvent having a polarity ET(30) between 130 and 175 kJ/mol, followed by separation of the precipitate, treatment of the precipitate with an aqueous acid solution and isolation of the target product from the aqueous solution, and a method of preparing (5RS)-4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-trifluoromethyl-4H-isoxazol-3-yl]-N-[2-oxo-2-(2,2,2-trifluoroethylamino)ethyl]-2-methylbenzamide.
