FIELD: marine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for raising sunken objects by restoring their buoyancy through displacing water with compressed air from their internal volumes. Lifting of a sunken object is carried out in two stages from a depth - the one end and the other end, not exceeding one third of its length, using the method of purging internal volumes, which involves pumping compressed air into them and displacing water through squeezing pipes, which are installed offset towards the closer located extremities. The squeezing pipes are of different lengths, the shortest of which is installed at the end that is lifted second, and the length of the remaining pipes consistently increases as they approach the end that is lifted first. In this case, at both stages of ascent, a sequential order of purging the internal volumes is adopted, starting with the end that is lifted second.
EFFECT: reduced stress in the hull of a sunken object being lifted is achieved by reducing the magnitude of the support reaction and a more uniform distribution of the buoyancy force along its length.
