FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions related to devices, methods and systems, and more specifically to devices, processes, mechanisms and methods for determining the parameters of the internal refractory lining of metallurgical vessels. A scanner assembly 10 configured to be mounted on a scanner arm 82 for placement in close proximity to an opening in a vessel or insertion into an opening in a vessel and for measuring the distance from the emitter/sensor 40 within the scanner assembly 10 to a plurality of points on the surface of the refractory lining for determining the parameters of the concave inner surface of a vessel in one scan. The scanner arm, having an arm lever and attached to the scanner assembly, holds the scanner assembly in measurement positions. The control system controls the position of the scanner assembly, the position of the emitter/sensor, and the collection, storage, processing, and presentation of measurements generated by the emitter/sensor. The field of view received from the scanner node 10 in one scan extends beyond the hemisphere.
EFFECT: reduction in the number of scans and, consequently, the measurement time required to obtain the results of measuring the thickness of the refractory lining in metal vessels designed to transport materials with a temperature above the melting point of the metal, which leads to a decrease in the impact on the scanner of the internal conditions of the vessel being measured.
