FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for measurement of lining wear of receiving vessel for molten metal. Proposed device comprises support frame, first laser scanner and second laser scanner, wherein both scanners are spaced from each other along the transverse direction of the support frame and are configured to respectively scan the first surface and the second surface of the refractory lining to obtain a first initial data set and a second initial data set, representing a second surface, and a computer configured to generate a final set of data by using a first initial data set and a second initial data set, wherein the final data set corresponds to the surface of the refractory lining.
EFFECT: invention provides accurate measurement of lining wear in ladle, arc furnace or converter.
