FIELD: overhaul of oil and gas production wells.
SUBSTANCE: proposed tool is designed to cut into the tubing of a well completion equipment having a tip, a casing in which the tubing is located, and a packer. The tool contains a longitudinal axis, a first and a second end, with the first end located closer to the top when immersed in the well completion equipment, a pipe cutting module containing a housing, a first module part, a second module part and a cutting edge rotatable around the longitudinal axis when extended relative to the housing to cut into the wall of the tubing from the inside to separate the first part of the tubing, closest to the top, from the second part. The tool contains a pipe piercing module containing a retractable piercing element configured to create a hole in the wall of the first part for fluid communication between the annulus and the internal volume of the tubing to obtain control of the well by circulating a fluid between them. The penetration module is located closer to the first end of the tool than to the pipe cutting module. The tool contains a placement instrument for installing a plug inside the second part of the tubing, located in connection with the pipe cutting module so that the pipe cutting module is located between the pipe punching module and the placement instrument, while the tool also contains a rotary connection between the second part of the pipe cutting module and the placement instrument.
EFFECT: safety of repairs increases, time costs decrease, and hydrocarbon production increases.
