FIELD: hair care.

SUBSTANCE: hair care composition contains the following: a) a conditioning base containing a cationic conditioning surfactant containing from 16 to 32 carbon atoms; a fatty alcohol containing from 8 to 22 carbon atoms; b) from 0.1 to 10 wt.% of conditioning silicone; (c) from 0.1 to 5 wt.% of a quaternary ammonium diester which is bis(isostearoyl/oleoylisopropyl) dimonium methosulfate, the weight ratio of b) to c) being from 1:1 to 1:0.1. Also the following is disclosed: a hair care method and the use of a quaternary ammonium diester to deposit silicone onto the hair.
