FIELD: hair care.
SUBSTANCE: hair treatment composition contains a conditioning base containing a cationic conditioning surfactant containing from 16 to 32 carbon atoms and a fatty alcohol containing from 8 to 22 carbon atoms; from 0.1 to 10 wt.% microcapsules, in which the core containing the beneficial agent is enclosed in a polymer shell; this composition additionally contains from 0.1 to 5 wt.% diesterquat. Also disclosed is a method for treating hair and using a diesterquat to deposit an encapsulated beneficial agent on the hair.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved deposition of microcapsules and delivery of a beneficial agent to the hair surface.
