METHOD OF TREATING EXTENDED STRICTURES OF BULBOUS URETHRA Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicin; operative urology.

SUBSTANCE: incision of 10 cm is made in the perineal area from the scrotum and not reaching the anus 4 cm, the corpus spongiosum and cavernous bodies are isolated from the surrounding tissues. Next, a horizontal median intersection of the urethra and resection of scar tissue in the stricture zone are performed — the distal and proximal sections of the urethra are spatulated for 1 cm. Before the formation of the urethral anastomosis in the zone of the previously located urethral stricture, interrupted plicating sutures are applied to the cavernous bodies along the ventral surface. Two plicating sutures with a stitch length of 4 cm are placed on each cavernous body. Additionally, one plication suture with a stitch length of 2 cm is applied to the left and right corpora cavernosa between the previously formed plication interrupted sutures.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to perform plication corporoplasty in the area of the bulbous urethra on the ventral side and form a urethro-urethroanastomosis without tension; reduce the frequency of postoperative strictures in the anastomosis area due to its initially wide formation and improve the results of treatment of patients with extended strictures of the spongy segment, bulbous urethra of various etiologies.
